In the competitive world, it is necessary to make right and quick decisions. Hence, it is important that right from a small age, children should learn to think, focus and analyze any given situation to take right decisions after finding optimal solutions.

Asking simple questions to the students will get them to think critically. The discussion is another way of incorporating critical thinking skills in the young minds. Do not provide them with the conclusion, let their mind wander and think about the case study. Conference style learning and giving writing assignments also helps to develop these skills.

Here are some problems which students and educators both face which give rise to the development of critical thinking:

Reading: Students can read and can also write well in exams. However, they may fail to understand the topic which they just read. Reading is actually ‘depth of analysis'. Hence, those students who have poor thinking skills face poor skills related to reading comprehension.

Writing: Some students are not able to express or relate written ideas. Those who fail to present or relate to the ideas; they are not able to communicate the idea clearly. Mathematics: Many students do not succeed to reason mathematically. They struggle hard to solve the word problems because they fail to comprehend the problem.

Social Studies: Frequently, students cannot see analogous events due to their poor analysis skills.
