2-layered fire proximity suit: As the name suggests, these aluminized fire proximity suits have 2 layers. The first layer is aluminized Kevlar or Aluminized Fibreglass material while the inner layer is that of fire-retardant cotton.
3-layered fire proximity suit: Apart from the 2 layers existing in the previous suit, these suits also have an added layer of woollen thermal liner.
4-layered fire proximity suit: The 4-layer suits have the layers mentioned in the above two suits and an extra layer of moisture barrier.
